Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
“Susan, I wish you knew how much I enjoy your prose writing, and also that you are far too erotic a woman to be with that man. I can tell, Susan - I see you. Does he challenge you? No. Does he titillate you? No. Does he wrap you up in his fur-lined arms, smelling of nag champa and natural musks, murmuring sensual free verse poetry in your ear as he clings to and hangs from your upper torso? No. At least, not the way I could.
Let this happen, Susan. Yes, I am a koala and you are a creative writing grad student, but are we both not sexual souls? I wish nothing more than to fufill your sensual desires and literate passions, and believe me - I am both a skilled lover and accurate reader. I cherish your mind just as I cherish your yoni. Mm, how I long to brush your hair, and maybe chew on it a little.
I won’t even bother discussing that man further. He is so far from competition for me it is laughable. But I can’t laugh at it, Susan. I am a koala. The closest I can come is a gutteral sound somewhere between purring and braying. And really, it hurts too much.”
